Simon's Update:
A very warm welcome back to all our Brookfield community following the Easter break. It has been so lovely to see the children back in school, reconnecting with their friends and settling quickly back into learning and play.
Over the holiday, we carried out further work to improve our learning environments across the school. This included updates to our Year 3 and Year 6 classrooms, and even a small refresh of the staffroom — which has certainly been appreciated by the team!
A key focus of the work has been the addition of carpeting in classrooms. This has already made a noticeable difference, helping to create calmer, more comfortable spaces with improved sound quality. The classrooms feel warmer and more welcoming, supporting both learning and wellbeing.
We are keen to continue developing these spaces and are now exploring ways to introduce more cosy, comfortable reading areas within classrooms, so that children have inviting places to enjoy books and quiet reflection.
