At Brookfield, we encourage every child to be creative, curious and ambitious, embracing new experiences and rising to every challenge.
Through our broad, vibrant and enriching curriculum, we support children to flourish academically, personally and socially, developing the confidence and resilience to achieve their very best.
While we are proud to share our children's recent EYFS, KS1 and KS2 outcomes below, these results represent just one part of the rich and varied education our children experience every day.
Our EYFS outcomes - children reaching a good level of development
A Good Level of Development (GLD) is achieved when children meet the expected standard across the key areas of learning at the end of Reception, giving them a strong foundation for future learning.
At Brookfield, 75% of children achieved a Good Level of Development in 2025 and 74% in 2026, demonstrating consistently strong outcomes for our youngest learners.
Both figures are above the 2025 national average of 68%, reflecting the high-quality early years provision at Brookfield. Our children leave Reception as confident, curious and capable learners, well prepared for the next stage of their education.
Our Year One Phonics Outcomes
The Year 1 Phonics Screening Check is a national assessment that measures children's early reading and phonics knowledge, ensuring they have developed the decoding skills needed to become confident readers.
In 2026, 92% of Brookfield pupils met the expected standard, significantly above the 2025 national average of 80% by 12 percentage points. This outstanding result reflects the strength of our early reading and phonics provision and our commitment to ensuring every child develops the confidence and skills to become a fluent, enthusiastic reader.
Our Year Four Times Table Check Data
The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) is a national assessment taken by pupils at the end of Year 4 to measure their fluency and recall of multiplication facts up to 12 × 12. Strong times tables knowledge is a key building block for success in mathematics.
In 2026, Brookfield pupils achieved an average score of 23.6 out of 25, which is significantly above the 2025 national average of 21. This excellent result demonstrates the strength of our mathematics curriculum and our focus on developing confidence, fluency and accuracy in number facts, giving pupils the secure foundations they need for future mathematical learning.
Key Stage 2 (Year 6) SATs
This year we were delighted with our KS2 results which were above National and Camden for reading and writing.
Each year at Brookfield, the children are assessed against a set of nationally agreed criteria. The national curriculum tests at the end of key stage 2 (often referred to as SATs) are administered in mathematics, reading and grammar punctuation and spelling. Children are also assessed by their teachers for writing, which is moderated by the local authority.
Our results will be published in July 2026Performance Tables
Performance Tables are also produced by the Department for Education (DfE). They give information on the achievements of pupils in primary, secondary and 16-18 provision in schools and colleges, and how they compare with other schools in the Local Authority (LA) area and in England as a whole. From 2011 the scope of the tables was changed to display a wider range of key performance measures including information on finance, absence, school workforce and the most recent Ofsted reports.
