Brookfield Primary

SENDco

The Role

The Brookfield SENDCo will play a vital role in ensuring that every child receives the support, challenge, and provision they need to thrive. Working closely with staff, families, and external agencies, the SENDCo will lead and develop inclusive practice across the school, champion high aspirations for all pupils, and ensure that children with additional needs are fully supported both academically and emotionally. The successful candidate will be committed to collaboration, clarity, and consistency, and will embody the values at the heart of the Brookfield community.

Personal attributes

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of SEND provision, inclusive practice, and current SEND legislation. They will have experience of supporting children with a range of additional needs and will be committed to ensuring that every child is able to thrive both academically and emotionally.

They will be an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with children, families, staff, and external agencies. The role requires someone who is organised, reflective, and able to lead with clarity, compassion, and professionalism. The successful candidate will be confident in supporting staff, coordinating provision, and driving continual improvement across the school.

We are looking for someone who shares Brookfield’s values and who believes in high expectations, collaboration, and inclusion. They will be resilient, solution-focused, and committed to creating a school culture where every child feels supported, valued, and able to succeed.
