Simon’s Update
I just wanted to say how unbelievably proud we are of our Year 6 children.
Over the past week, they have shown such hard work, resilience, maturity, and kindness towards one another. They have approached their SATs with positivity and determination, and they have absolutely smashed it! Every single one of them should feel incredibly proud of themselves, they have certainly made us proud as a staff team.
What has stood out most is the way the children have supported each other throughout the process. They have worked together, encouraged one another, and shown what a fantastic team they are. We could not have asked for more from them.
A huge thank you also goes to our wonderful staff for their care, commitment, and thoughtfulness in making this a process that children felt comfortable and confident with. Their support has been incredible.
And finally, thank you to all of our families at home for helping children feel prepared, rested, and ready each day. Your encouragement and support make such a difference. The SATs are finished and Year 6 absolutely smashed it. What a team!
We hope everyone has a very restful and well-deserved weekend when it comes.
Y3/4 Football Champions
I'm thrilled to share some fantastic news about our Year 3/4 boys football team! On Tuesday, they played brilliantly in the Camden Schools Sports Association (CSSA) tournament, and their hard work truly paid off.
Although we faced a rocky start, losing our first league game 1-0, the boys showed resilience and determination. After some reflection, they bounced back, winning the next two games and advancing to the semi-finals, finishing in second place. This set the stage for an exciting challenge against the top team from the other group—one that had swept all their league matches.
At half-time, we were trailing 1-0, but the team rallied together and with a fantastic performance, they scored three goals to secure a 3-1 victory! What an incredible turnaround!
Finally, we faced the only unbeaten team—the very same team that had defeated us in our first match. With motivation at its peak, the boys took an early lead and maintained their advantage to finish with a 2-0 win, bringing the trophy home! The children were simply excellent, and this win was so well-deserved.
The future looks bright for Brookfield, and we couldn’t be prouder of our young athletes!
