To provide high-quality early years education which enables all children to thrive, flourish and develop strong foundations for future learning. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, ambitious and language-rich environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn through play, exploration and meaningful interactions.
The Reception teacher will support children’s development across all areas of learning, recognising the importance of communication, relationships, self-regulation and physical development in securing strong outcomes for children.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience of teaching within EYFS or an ambition to teach EYFS
- Have a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework
- Be committed to high-quality play-based learning and continuous provision
- Understand the importance of communication, language and relationships in early development
- Create nurturing, inclusive and language-rich learning environments
- Have high expectations for all children, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils
- Value outdoor learning, exploration and child-led learning
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Demonstrate warmth, kindness, creativity and professionalism
- Be committed to the vision and values of Brookfield School
