Forest School teacher
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Forest School Practitioner or Teacher to deliver our established Forest School programme across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The post is for a day per week, potentialy two days per week over Summer term.
Our provision is a structured, progressive curriculum focusing on:
- Year 1: Belonging and Care
- Year 3: Community and Contribution
- Year 5: Identity, Leadership and Wise Choices
This role offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful outdoor learning that supports children’s social, emotional and practical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, child-centred Forest School sessions
- Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development
- Adapt sessions to ensure inclusion for all learners
- Promote independence, resilience and safe risk-taking
- Maintain a safe and well-managed outdoor learning environment
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised Forest School qualification (Level 3 preferred)
- Has experience working with primary-aged children
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management and relational practice
- Is confident delivering outdoor learning in all weather
- Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment
