Simon's Update
It's been a soggy week here at Brookfield, with a fair amount of rain, but we were very happy to welcome the children back on Monday with the Christmas decorations up, and the fairy lights twinkling. It's been absolutely brilliant watching Year 2 get ready for their Christmas show over the past few weeks, and I can't wait to see it!
I also want to say a huge thank you to a team of Year 6 students who went off for an evening debate competition, it was so much fun, and debate is such a brilliant skill to learn. We will be looking at ways to incorporate it more into lessons here at Brookfield. I also am excited to see the results of our flash fiction competition, with children tasked to writing stories with a very, very small amount of words - we've had dozens of entries so far and it's amazing to see the creativity on display.
Finally, we look forward to seeing as many of you at the Winter Fair tomorrow, organised by the Brookfield School Community to raise much needed funds for the school.

Festive Concert
We hope that you are able to join us for our festive concert on Tuesday 16th December from 10-11am for Years 1& 2, and then from 2-3pm for Years 3-6 at St Mary Brookfield Church.

During the event, the children will perform a selection of popular Festive songs, recite poems about winter, and we will all have the chance to enjoy hot chocolate together. It promises to be a warm and enjoyable occasion for our school community.
Although the concert is being held in St Mary’s, we would like to reassure all families that this is a non-religious event. The church is being used solely as a venue. At no point during the concert will there be any act of worship or participation in a Christian ceremony.
We hope this clarification is helpful and that you will feel comfortable joining us for what we hope will be a joyful and inclusive celebration.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Brookfield School Community
We hope to see you all on Saturday at the Brookfield School Community Winter Fair between 12 and 3pm. Thank yo uto everyone who has volunteered to run a stall, donated raffle prizes/food/toys/books or bought a raffle ticket! As always there will be free hot dogs for kids and free arts and crafts activities and games. All money raised at the fair goes towards funding our children's school activities.
And please drop by our Chanukah Bake sale on Friday 12th December at 3.20pm. Delicious goodies will be on sale at both playgrounds.
