Simon's Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

With the wet weather very much in full force, school life has continued at pace! You may have noticed some recent excitement around the site as we had repairs carried out to part of the roof. With scaffolding up and roofers hard at work, we are pleased to say everything is now secure and, most importantly, the rain is firmly staying outside the classrooms where it belongs.

Despite the weather, there has been lots of creativity and learning happening across the school. Year 3 have been enjoying fantastic art workshops with Alix, producing some truly impressive collages and patterned pieces. Year 4 have also taken part in their philosophy sessions this week with Miriam, engaging in thoughtful discussions and exploring big ideas with enthusiasm and maturity.

I would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to come in and meet with myself and our Chair of Governors. This will be a chance for us to talk through some of the key work that has taken place in school over the past year and to share our ongoing priorities. The meeting will take place on Thursday 29th February at 9:00am, and we would be delighted if you could join us.

For those who are unable to attend, please be assured that all information shared will be disseminated to all parents and carers via slides afterwards.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

NEW RELAXED DANCE CLASS FOR AGES 4-7 AND GROWN UPS

Spring 202

A relaxed class for young dancers (and their grown-ups) to grow in confidence and creativity launching this Spring.

We are launching a new creative weekly dance class designed especially for children aged 4-7 with additional access needs at The Place. This will take place on:

Day: Saturdays
Time: 8.45 - 9.30am
Term dates: Saturday 10th January - Saturday 28th March 2026
Location: The Place, 16 Flaxman Terrace, London WC1H 9AT

Led by experienced dance artist Laura Heywood, the session offers a fun and supportive space for children and their parents or carers to explore movement together. Through play, music, and imagination, children build confidence, develop coordination, and enjoy expressing themselves at their own pace. These sensory, playful sessions provide a nurturing introduction to dance, shaped around a theme and tailored to each child's needs, supporting them to follow their own journey and potentially transition into our weder classes programme.
With small class sizes and additional support from a teaching assistant, each child is encouraged to move, create and connect in ways that feel comfortable and joyful alongside their parent/carer. Book your place here
