Saving the Planet with Brookfield
A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped out at the Community Day last Saturday. Thanks to your green thumbs, brawn and brains we managed to clear, haul, plant and prune - and the school looks much better for it!
If you missed the session, fear not as there are opportunities to get involved over the next few weeks:
- We're aiming to organise a few after school gardening sessions on Fridays in April and May
- Ever dream of having an allotment? Well Brookfield has a beautiful one, in a sunny spot in Waterlow park. All it needs is a few dedicated individuals/families to take charge of it for this year. Last year we grew rhubarb, courgettes, chard, tomatoes, squash/pumpkin and lots more...so now's the time to start weeding, clearing and planting
If you're interested in either of the above or have other gardening-related ideas please join the Brookfield Growers Whatsapp Group.
Finally, as it's Rosie's last day we'd like to thank her for her support to the Brookfield Climate Action Group over the years, we couldn't have done it without you!
