Laurel’s Update

This week, we enjoyed wonderful piano performances by children taught by Rea and Evita. Sincere thanks to Bramble class who performed their act from Julius Caesar to our Key Stage 2 children in special assemblies this morning. I was reminded of our children’s amazing dedication, creativity and the benefits of practice!

Children have now completed their assessments in reading, writing and maths and teachers have put lots of effort into writing the children’s annual reports. We will be sending these out by email over the next week and hope you enjoy reading about their achievements and targets for the coming year. There will then be an opportunity for you to come into school for our Summer Open Evening on Wednesday 10th July from 3.30-6pm. During this time you can visit your child’s current class and teacher, meet new staff and see the classroom your child will be learning in next year. More details will be included in the email when you are sent your child’s report.

This is a busy time of year so please take some time to check through the dates above and make a note of those that involve your child/children. There will be lots of opportunities for us to come together as a school community and I hope to see lots of you at the Sports Days and Summer Fair on Saturday 13th July.
