Laurel’s Update

As a keen swimmer myself, it has brought me such joy to see our year 4 children engaging in their swimming  lessons at Archway Leisure Centre this week. They have arrived back at school with wet hair and big smiles on their faces! It makes me look forward to our junior classes swimming at the Parliament Hill Lido this summer. As a community, we are so lucky to have a wonderful choice of swimming facilities within walking distance. I hope our year 4 children can demonstrate their new skills to their families soon.

This week, Faye (Assistant Head), Carole (Admissions Officer) and I met with Alison Ellis, Brookfield’s School Inclusion Support Officer. We discussed the link between children who attend school regularly, and on time, progressing well with their learning and getting support in subjects they may struggle with. Please take a moment to read this letter from Alison who will be joining us on the school gates and meeting with individual families to support good attendance.
