How do I help my child to attend School?
Thank you to those who attended this workshop today. The workshop gave information around 'emotional School Based Avoidance'. Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) is a term used to describe children and young people who experience challenges in attending school due to negative feelings (such as anxiety). EBSA is commonly associated with emotional and physical distress, and a reluctance to attend school, which can lead to reduced attendance and further anxiety regarding school.
Please click here for further support and strategies.
Boosting Brains Parent Workshop
Thank you to all the parents that attended the Boosting Brain Workshop for EYFS today. Parents went away with lots of new games and strategies to try at home.
"Great workshop, really useful." ~ EYFS Parent
ASC Bookings
From the new term, we are transforming the way you book After School Club at Brookfield! From the new term, you will be able to book directly via your Scopay account. In next week’s newsletter, we will give you all the information you need on how to book, with a step by step guide.
In preparation for this change, please ensure the following:
- If you do not have a Scopay account, you need to get in touch with the office and we can send you a link to set it up. You will need a Scopay account in order to make future bookings.
- You will need to clear any arrears on your account, as the new booking format will not allow any new bookings if there are arrears (if you pay via childcare vouchers, it’s slightly different).
Please get in touch with us if you have any questions at this stage.
Ramadan and fasting
Ramadan Mubarak for all our families celebrating this month. Please can parents let Laurel know if their child is fasting so that relevant staff can be made aware, particularly during lunchtimes and PE?
