Laurel’s Update

I am really looking forward to seeing you at this year’s Winter Fair on Saturday 12-3pm! Thanks to the PTA for organising this community event and to the volunteers who are giving up their time to make this a wonderful community event. Entry is free, Santa’s Grotto (book here) is free (for children eligible for Pupil Premium), tea, coffee and squash are free, pre-loved toys and books will be cheap – so I hope to see you there! Click the button for all details:

On Thursday 8th December, you are warmly invited to Brookfield’s first Carol Concerts at St Mary Brookfield, Dartmouth Park. Carols are ‘songs of joy’ and I hope you will join us for music and readings on the theme of ‘light’. Children in years 1 and 2 will be performing at 10am, years 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 2.15pm. Each child can have two grown ups in the audience and please let the office know if you would like to apply for any extra standing places. There will be refreshments after each event and a coin collection for donations to the school. Junior children can be collected directly from the Church at 3pm, with remaining children being walked back to school for 3.30pm.

Thanks to the parents and carers who joined me, Jo Cooke (Chair of Governors), Sophie Wong (PTA) and Rob Logan (Forest School Gardener) as we shared achievements, challenges and priorities. We will make this a termly event and it was great to see so many of you helping us think about boosting Brookfield!

See you on Saturday 12-3pm!

The NHS is offering children in London aged one to nine a polio vaccine. This will either be a booster on top of your child’s routine jabs or a catch-up dose. Contact your GP or find your nearest clinic to protect your child.
