Laurel’s Update
Today we have welcomed parents and carers at not one, but two Parent Teacher Association (PTA) events! Thanks to our wonderful PTA and everyone who supported the coffee morning, bake sale and clothes swap. Please invite family and friends to our outdoor Winter Fair on Saturday 11th December 12-3pm where both our choirs will be performing.
Thankfully, we have seen COVID-19 cases lower this week and we are looking forward to bursting the Ivy and Willow class bubbles on Monday. I would like to praise Hannah and Emily, class teachers, for their creativity and resilience over the past fortnight.
Next Tuesday, 30th November from 5.30-6.30pm, Brookfield will be hosting our first ‘Meet the Brookfield parents’ event for prospective parents. I am looking for 2 more families who would be prepared to be part of a panel to represent Brookfield – please let me know if you and your child(ren) could volunteer.
Updates from the office
We have a photographer from Camden Learning coming in next week to take pictures of the whole school. The pictures will be used by the school, and if Camden Learning would like to use any, we will ask permission from parents in advance.
Please arrive at the right time for our staggered starts. If children do arrive early (e.g. if they have an older sibling) they are now asked to sit on a bench and wait for their lining up time.
Don’t forget if your child is on packed lunches, and would like to have a hot Christmas dinner on Wednesday 15th December, please notify the office here by Friday 10th December at the latest.
It is much easier to reunite children with items of clothing and water bottles, when they have their name on them. Items that children have left behind are put on the pegs in the playgrounds and after a period of time, unnamed items are donated to charity.
Year 2 Outing
This week Year 2 had their first major trip to London Zoo. Our trip was part of our science learning as we looked at how the zoo had varied each habitat to meet the animal’s needs. We saw penguins, tigers, monkeys and lions, as well as lots of different mini beasts. It was a fantastic day!
Eco-Committee
I am excited to announce Brookfield’s new Eco-Committee! I really enjoyed reading all of your fantastic and enthusiastic applications. Even if you haven’t been selected for this year’s Committee, there will be lots of opportunities to help Brookfield become an Eco-School throughout the year.
The new committee will meet before Christmas during the school day. I can’t wait to get started!

Music Update from Julia
We’ve had an overwhelming response for children joining the Infant Choir, which is fantastic! As we are going to be performing at the Winter Fair (Saturday 11th December), places for this term are now closed. If your child is not in the choir already and would like a place for January, then please Julia here
Would your child like to perform at the Winter Fair?
Both choirs will be performing (times tbc). If your child would like to perform individually or in a small group on the Music stage (on an instrument or voice) then please email Julia here Please ensure that your child knows their piece/song well and that it is ready for performance.
