1st October: 6.30 – 7.30pm Meet the parents and children from local secondary schools
Next week, teachers will be visiting bubble classes in school and satellite classes on the Heath to say goodbye to their current classes and meet their new children. Teachers are meeting to discuss each child and we are thinking carefully about successful transitions in September. It will be wonderful to have all our children back in school, learning, achieving and playing together and to welcome our new nursery and reception children.
There will be safety measures in place to help keep everyone healthy and I will write to you in more detail about these next week. In the meantime, the following staggered start and finish times will be in place using both the infant and junior playgrounds from September:
Infant playground | Junior playground | |
8.45 – 3.15 | Y2 | Y6 |
8.50-3.20 | Y1 | Y5 |
8.55-3.25 | R | Y4 |
9-3.30 | N | Y3 |
Breakfast and after school club
We also look forward to relaunching our breakfast and after school clubs on Thursday 3rd September. These will be organised so that children from Reception to Year 6 play and eat with other children from their year group. Parents and carers who have cleared any arrears from this year, will be able to book places. Look out for a letter and how to book next week!
Books and resources
As we prepare for next year we ask children, parents and carers to check at home for any Brookfield books or resources and return them over the coming week. These can be bought into school or returned to the school office if your child is currently learning at home.
Special Needs at Brookfield

Please contact me at l.smale@brookfield.camden.sch.uk if you have any questions.
I hope you have a great summer, Laura Smale

Please contact the school before the summer break if you have any concerns about your child(ren) returning in September.
A Date For Your Diaries: Meet the Parents Event
We will be holding our own Meet the Parents event on Thursday October 1st from 6.30 to 7.30pm. It’s an invaluable chance for our parents to ask questions from a friendly panel of parents and children from the local secondary schools. Parents from all year groups are welcome. Appropriate social distancing will be in place.
