Today Alana from the NSPCC visited Brookfield again. Thank you to all the children , family and friends who helped to raise money for the NSPCC. All children were given badges today to raise further awareness about staying safe. We managed to raise £747.55! This money goes towards Childline & making sure our NSPCC ‘speak out stay safe service’ is being spread throughout the country.

Over the last two weeks, both Y5 classes were inspired by visits to the Camden Learning Centre.

PTA NEWS
Thank you to everyone who came last night (Thursday) to the auction – we raised £17,065 for the school – and there’s more to be counted from other sales (bar, tickets etc).
PLUS – you can still bid ONLINE for some great items. But don’t delay – the deadline is 8pm tonight. You can still bid on a house by the sea, football tickets, and other fantastic prizes. Some great bargains to be had.
AUCTION THANK YOUS
There are also a lot of people to thank. If we’ve missed you out, apologies. In no particular order:
Tabs and Ali for making the hall look spectacular and transforming it with such glamour, as well as the bar; Amy, Gen, Karine, Eiril, Sharon, Amanda, Leanne and Violaine for running the floor / room / bar so brilliantly. Paddy and Chris for manning the door in the cold. Sophie and Quinn for carrying all the chairs and tables in. Clio, Collette, Eliane for helping with the food, and the clearing. Anthony and Rich for staying so late to help.
The music – Sus and Gwyn; Nicky and Coren; and the brilliant Little Smoke String Band.
The teachers for their amazing contributions; Laurel; Derek, Tom, Oliver, the cleaners – who all stayed incredibly late. Louise and Rob for auctioneering with such aplomb. Brendan for the raffle. Jess and Rob for the website, programmes and catalogue design. And lastly Seb, who masterminded the whole thing as well as auctioneering. Phew.
Also, a big thanks to:
- Theatre of Wine for supplying brilliant wines for the evening
- Camden Town Brewery for the beer
- YAhire for the fantastic tables and all the other equipment
- Moyrom for the delicious curry dinner
- Emma Jay for the amazing chocolate dessert
