A MESSAGE FROM THE FAB AMBASSADORS
Hello we are the FAB Ambassadors, minus Chaya and Milo who are currently on school journey at Sayers Croft. The FAB ambassadors are a group of children who were chosen at the end of last year. We have the responsibility of taking care of FAB throughout the year. We have lots of jobs such as picking the artist, helping to design the project and asking children what they think about FAB as well as telling them about it.
This year the type of art we will be focussing on is collage based illustration! This year’s FAB project will be with an artist called Mark Oliver who works for Pencil & Help design agency. He is an expert at all things collage and design. He has worked in lots of school to help them with collage. He will be working with every class throughout the school to help them create a collage, write a story about it and then illustrate it.
ODD SOCKS DAY – MONDAY NOVEMBER 12TH
As part of this year’s Anti Bullying Campaign – ‘Choose Respect’ – we are going to participate in Odd Socks Day. The idea of Odd Socks Day is to recognise that we are all different and unique and that this is something to be celebrated and affirmed. The idea was introduced in assembly this morning and consequently, next Monday November 12th we are inviting all children and staff to wear odd socks as a sign of solidarity and respect.
EAT WITH YOUR CHILD DAYS
Following on from our successful Pop Up Café on Open Afternoon, this half term we are inviting KS2 parents/carers to come in and share a yummy school dinner with their children.
The dates of the ‘Eat with your Child Days’ will be:

Y6 – November 12th, 13th and 14th
Y3 – November 19th, 20th and 21st

YR PARENT TOURS
Brookfield offers a fabulous start to your child’s educational experience and over the course of the last 12 months, the Early Years staff (headed up by Laurel) have continued to collaborate imaginatively to enrich the quality of our Early Years provision. This half term we will be running some YR Parent tours which start at 1:45pm and involve meeting Mark / Laurel and having a guided tour around the school. In order to book a place on one of the available dates, please contact Carole in the main office on 0207 272 9627 or email admin@brookfield.camden.sch.uk

GOVERNORS ELECTIONS
A message from Mike Yule (Chair of Governors)
Dear Parents and Carers,
Two spaces have become available on the Brookfield governing body for parent governors. If you are a parent or are in full time care of a child curently at Brookfield you are eligible to apply for the posts, which are decided by elections.
We have a committed, friendly and enthusiastic group of governors who are keen to welcome fresh ideas from new candidates. Even if you have never thought of this option before, please consider how you might contribute to the strategic direction of Brookfield, holding the school to account and providing support to one of our community’s most essential assets.
If you wish to apply for the role of parent governor, please complete a short paragraph on why you think you’d make a good candidate and hand this in to the office together with a picture of yourself by 4pm on Friday 16th November. If you have any queries at all about this, please feel free to contact Mike Yule on mikeyule360@gmail.com or any of the governors, or Cee.
We really are looking forward to hearing from a wide variety of candidates,
Best of luck, Mike.
